Fried onions: You can make your own, it's super easy. Just drop thinly sliced onions into hot oil or deep fryer. They will shrink considerably, but remove before they burn and salt to taste. So easy and flavorful!

Remove the bacon 'grease' and add butter? Why? I get adding butter, but ………………………………… why? That question aside, that'd be a fantastic side for a nice T-Bone.
