Thankyou for this Recipe. The millet we have in Europe IS yellow! But I didn't know how to cook them. This recipe is Exalant.👍🌻🌻

Please share more recipes for sama's rice… Thank you I don't know sama is cook with lentil aswell, I thought it is jst for vrat or upwas recipe

On independent day this time our PM has said that we have to go for Vocal for local. Means local seasonal items ate good for health. If our old millets like ragi, jower, bajra, makkai, varagu etc are used insted of rice or wheat we willbe able to maintain health. Also the genetically modified gluten rich present day wheat can be exported insted of marketing in our south india among rice eating people to cause disease like diabetes.Padmabhushan Dr. B. M Hegde says gluten affect beta cells and make man permenantly diabetic. Our kissan will get the chance of increasing production of millets to feed us and by exporting excess wheat we will be bringing PM's slogan 'Make for world' into practice. So let malayalees donot consume wheat and wheat products and reduce the consumption. Of rice to accomodate various millets. Suggestion is that dosa, idli, puttu, idiyappam, appam, etc are prepared without rice and chappathi without wheat and let us be healthy.

I eat Sama during fast n regular basis too as it's gluten free. I tried this recipe n it turned out to be super yum. Thanks!

Now a days I am including millet recipes in my daily menu list and there I found one more healthy dish. Thank you nisha. Please include many more recipes using different millets and also provide links to purchase them.

It has been few days this khichdi has been my dinner, though I use our normal rice in the ratio of 1 portion of rice with 2 portion of toor daal with 1 portion of seasonal veggies (raw banana or peas or some lauki) and some tomato khatta to give that lipsmacking taste. Since gut is our second brain I'm feeling very light lately

I bought a pack marked with little millet ….it looks similar to bajra grain…so iam confused if it's the correct one

Nusha, How did you judged and concluded that it is good for the diabetic people? Did you measure postprandial blood glucose rise? If so, present evidence.if not confident then delete or remove any reference to diabetes..

Mam can you please tell me the recipe for weight gain. I am suffering with hydrouretonephrosis and my weight is only 40kg, my height is 150 CM and my age is 32. I wanted to gain weight.

Would be good to throw in a few chopped veggies for a complete balanced meal, i guess
