4. Asian Lettuce Wraps
Ingredients:
1 lb ground turkey (or ground beef)
4 cloves garlic (minced)
1 tablespoon ginger (finely grated)
3 tablespoons honey
3 tablespoons reduced sodium soy sauce
1 1/2 teaspoons sesame oil
1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
1/8 teaspoon black pepper
1 carrot (shredded)
To serve:
romaine lettuce leaves
green onions

Instructions:
To cook frozen turkey or beef
Remove frozen ground meat from packaging (running under warm water can help loosen it).
Place 1 cup of water into a 6 quart Instant Pot (1 1/2 cups for 8 quart). Place trivet over water and frozen meat on the trivet.
Set the valve to ‘sealing’, and pressure cook on high for 5 minutes.
When the Instant Pot beeps, do a quick pressure release and carefully remove the trivet + meat from the Instant Pot. *It will only be partly cooked through at this point*
Carefully dump the liquid from the Instant Pot, and add the ground meat to the Instant Pot with the garlic, ginger, honey, soy sauce, sesame oil, red pepper flakes, and black pepper.
Select ‘saute’ and cook, breaking the meat up with a spatula, for 3-5 minutes, until meat is fully cooked through.
Stir in the carrots and serve.
To cook thawed turkey or beef:
Add the ground meat to an Instant Pot with the garlic, ginger, honey, soy sauce, sesame oil, red pepper flakes, and black pepper.
Put the lid on, set the valve to ‘sealing’, and pressure cook on high for 2 minutes. When the Instant Pot beeps, do a quick pressure release, and remove the lid.
Select ‘saute’ and simmer, breaking the meat up with a spatula, until the sauce has reduced and meat is cooked through (3-5 minutes). It should not be too liquidy, but this will depend on the type of ground meat you use.
Stir in the carrots and serve.
To serve:
Spoon filling into romaine lettuce leaves. Sprinkle with green onions.
Storage:
The filling may be stored in the fridge for up to 4 days or the freezer for up to 3 months.

These recipes look amazing! And I love how you’re making some really nice flavor combinations and tasty recipes while still using the seasonings and ingredients most of us keep in our pantries. 🙂
I do have a concern, though, and that’s about adding sesame oil (and coconut oil) to the meals before they go in the freezer. I have always heard that things with oils in them never really froze, and that oils shouldn’t be placed in the freezer. Have you ever had any problems with the oils after you froze them with the other ingredients of certain recipes (for example, going rancid, or making the food bad in any way) or is this not something to be concerned with?

Thanks so much! I plan on bagging up some of these meal prep suppers this weekend!! 🙂

  19. Yvette Monteilh says:

Thanks so much. It seems they are all gluten free! My daughter has an allergy to gluten and dairy. These are perfect! She’s also becoming intolerant to meats. Any seafood recipes ?

Thanks for creating this one. My husband is a vegetarian so the mix of meat dinners and veggie dinners were great. I am making all 5 dishes this week!

  31. Charlene H says:

OMG where have you been all my life!! 😍😍😍😍
Back in 2010 my husband got a job opportunity to work in NY city which is roughly 400 miles away from where we live.
It was a temporary construction demolition job that would end in 6-12 months. Well after that ended, he was offered a more permanent position because he got things done quickly, he’s a very very hard working man, who is very talented at controlling demolition robots that demo buildings ex..
Anyways since then, he’s been traveling to and from home , that’s 11 years I’ve been pulling my hair out trying to figure out what to cook next. AND what will stay FRESH for the WEEK!
I usually spend 4 hours on Sunday’s making meals for him.
This video just happened to appear so I clicked on it and you have giving me a glimpse of hope that making his meals will be a lot easier if I prep like this in advance so THANK YOU 🙏 ☺️
(We never moved because we don’t want to be far from family) ❤️

  32. Theresa Baumfeld says:

This whole video is great! But the editing and camera shots are not ideal at all and the music is loud !

  33. Angela Hall says:

Enjoy ur videos n appreciate the great ideas 2 make life a bit ez'r. Unfortunately I had 2 skip the rest of the video due 2 the background music. Im sorry, I get distracted 2 ez already so had 2 move on. 1 video out of so many tho is quiet alright lol. Keep up the great work n keep sharing!

  34. Maria Webb says:

Please stop the back round music! It’s distracting! Great meals though!

  35. Eileen Davis says:

When I come across videos with loud music, I turn the volume down and use cc (closed captions)

  36. Willy Pichler says:

    ❤️

  37. Andrea Smith says:

What are you using to hold up the freezer bags?

  38. PamBoch66 says:

Did your instant pot cookbook come out yet?

  39. Nina Sørum says:

I would love if the recipes were on a webpage (each recipe on a separate page), as that is so much easier to save to my Paprika app for recipes. It is not possible to copy text from the description box in the youtube app on an ipad.

Also, the background music, I completely agree with most here, it is so disturbing.

But otherwise, thanks a lot for great ideas!

  40. Patsy Galvan says:

I dont know if you have tried this with the instant pot gasket but, I got the smell out of the gasket by placing the gasket in a flat plastic container and covered the gasket with baking soda and closed the lid. 3 – 4 days later (maybe sooner) but, I waited the odor was gone from the gasket. Worked for me.

  41. Tracey Bracke says:

Thank you for sharing healthy recipes!!
