Banana Bread Recipe – Pan de platano
Last week there was a mystery pie lady in Yelapa, and judging by the comments, I’m not alone in my love for this banana bread recipe. It’s been a long time since I’ve experienced this. So why put it up in the remote bay of Banderas? If you have any fond family memories that revolve around bananas and bread, or if you just love the combination of banana and peanut butter, there is a good chance you won’t want to skip the banana bread version. Sources: 0, 4, 5
Perhaps the most prominent supplier of banana bread is Dulce de Leche, which began baking all kinds of banana bread from 1973 onwards, studded with nuts, cranberries, coconuts and even chocolate. It’s the perfect snack, breakfast or dessert and your banana bread is no exception. There are so many variations on this banana bread recipe, it’s one of my favourite recipes in the world. Sources: 0, 3, 7, 8
Here is my favourite version and if you’ve never tried it, you’ll miss out on one of the best and most delicious banana bread recipes in the world. Sources: 5
I’ll leave it to you to sort through your own soul, determine how you feel about banana bread and just tell me what you’re making of it. Over the years, I have found that it is easy to make room in your heart for any kind of stain or immaculate. There are some that I firmly believe are the most beautiful, beautiful and delicious banana varieties in the world, and I am one of them. Sources: 5
If you take a quick look through the comments, you will see that many, many and many have fallen in love with banana bread over the years. I think it has a lot to do with the colour of the bananas in the bread and depending on your preference you can decide whether you like it or not. The second big problem with this puzzle is that some prefer it dark and spotty, others bright – colored and still others bright. Sources: 5, 7
I used more bananas in this recipe and one banana more than what the recipe requires because I am an extreme banana lover. I love this banana flavoured bread and it only has a few black spots, so I’m happy with it. Sources: 7
Finally, after cutting the plantains into large pieces, add sugar if thinner, or alternatively add a scoop of vanilla ice cream if you want to sweeten or heat the slices. You can soak 1 / 2 cup of raisins in warm water or wine to fill them up, which you can then stir into the dough. Sources: 2, 6, 8
This helps to keep the banana bread and keeps it on the counter for about two to three days, but if it is not swallowed immediately and needs to be put away, wrap it in plastic wrap. When the banana bread is completely cool, you can wrap it in a zipper bag and freeze it for a few hours or put it in the freezer for up to a week and then wrap it in plastic wrap again. Sources: 3, 7
Bake for 40 minutes, then cover and bake for another 15 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean in the middle of the loaf. Bake for 30 minutes until golden brown and only a few moist crumbs [1] come out [2] and a toothpick or a thin knife inserted in the middle [3]. Bake for another 20-25 minutes [4] until the toothpicks or thin knives emerge clean in the middle [5] and another 30-45 minutes when the toothpick comes back clean [6]. Sources: 4, 5, 6
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Line a baking paper with it so that it hangs down on two long sides. Remove from the oven and allow the banana bread to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before placing it on a wire rack to cool. Leave the bread to cool for another ten minutes from the pan and then place on the wire rack until it has completely cooled. Sources: 4, 7
While the bread is still in the pan, drizzle a slightly warmer, slightly warmed dulce de leche over the banana bread and season with a little salt and pepper. Bake for another ten minutes while it is still baked and still in a pan, then place on the wire rack. Sources: 3
Preheat the oven to 350C / gas mark 4. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder and salt. Next, add oatmeal, sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, ginger, vanilla, cocoa powder and baking powder and mix well. Add flour and flour last and stir until everything is well mixed (lumps work by themselves). In a large bowl, mix the dry ingredients and milk until well mixed, about 2 minutes. Sources: 1, 3, 6, 8
Simply put a few cups of oatmeal in a blender or food processor and puree until they have a flour consistency. Simply add a few oatmeal to the blender / food processor and mix until you get a fine powder like normal wheat flour, about 2 minutes.
