Low Carb "Breaded" Chops

A great way to have breaded taste without all the carbohydrates!

This can be made with pork chops or chicken cutlets
1 or 2 bags of Pork Rinds
1/2 tsp Garlic Powder
1/2 tsp of Salt

    I did this with pork chops like you did, and it was fabulous….then I tried it with chicken pieces, and I baked them 45 minutes and cranked up the heat the last 10 minutes and they were to die for…even people not on low carb liked it. I also added 1/4 cup parmesan cheese to the crumbs and used garlic and onion powder, it was salty enough with the cheese, oh and I added a few cranks of ground pepper too…..great recipe….great idea….great flavor…..

    There are several factors in weight reduction – exercise, diet, motivation etc.
    But probably the most important is actually creating the meals you have appealling so you wont be tempted to keep having other snacks as well.     I assume you could also add in some cracked black pepper and 1 tsp of Italian seasoning and use this for a meatloaf recipe? I'm trying that tonight. My original meatloaf I used to make back in the day had Italian breadcrumbs, and I miss meatloaf. so I'm going to try it tonight but use this for the breadcrumbs. Thanks!

    The first time I saw you was when you were making Oopsie Bread. I thought you were the most honest person making Low Carb food. I wonder, even today, if you made Oopsie Bread again and did you improve the recipe as I saw that you still continued to eat it. LOL Your oven fried pork chops are the bomb!     I found out using inexpensive  croutons, store brand, very inexpensive, works well. But I suggest adding other spices (salt, pepper, paprika, cayenne, onion powder or salt, garlic powder or salt…whatever you have in your pantry), to the croutons and run through a processor like you did with the pork rinds.

    I did season my pork rinds but I would recommend not adding salt as the pork rinds are plenty salty. These are delicious!

    I have a recipe like this that mixes the pork rinds with powdered parmesan cheese. You basically use equal amounts of pork rinds and parmesan. It tastes amaaaaaazing!

    you basically put the skin back ON the pig !   hehe.   this recipe is actually ZERO carb….pork rinds (pig skin) have zero carbs just like the chops. Well…there is the minimal carbs in the egg wash but probably nothing even countable.

    I wanted to tell you that these pork chops were very good. I really like them better than using bread crumbs. whenever i make breaded porkchops i will cook them this way. Again these were soooooooo!! good

    I think it looks really good and I see where other people used the spicy ones but I think the regular BBQ flavor would be really good too.  I might give this a try.

    I've been doing this for a few years..the great thing these days is you can find so many more flavors of pork rinds now..make some bbq, spicy, or ranch chops. This method makes awesome chicken tenders and nuggets as well.
